ABOUT
For me, art and design emerge from the same way of seeing: an attentiveness to material, space, light, proportion, and restraint. Throughout my work, I have been drawn to the idea that the smallest gesture, intervention, or detail can create a significant effect.
For more than two decades, I worked as an interior designer, creating residential, hospitality, and commercial spaces in Israel and abroad. My design practice is guided by clean, minimal, and natural elements, creating spaces that are comfortable, practical, and emotionally grounding. Through proportion, material, and atmosphere, I explore the ways physical environments shape human experience. Over time, my work moved beyond designing spaces toward a more open artistic exploration.
My background in interior design, together with the experiences that shaped my life, has led to my current artistic practice. Through repetitive and intuitive processes, I work with found natural materials and familiar domestic objects. Using minimal intervention, I seek either to give form to emotions and thoughts or to create conditions for renewed attention.
Rather than beginning with an idea to illustrate, I often begin with curiosity. I allow the material, the process, and the physical encounter to guide the work. I am interested in the point at which an artwork stops being only an object of attention and becomes a catalyst, either for seeing the surrounding world differently or for recognizing an emotion or idea conveyed through the work. My work aims to create these encounters through the smallest intervention necessary to produce the intended effect.
Born and raised in Israel, I hold a Bachelor of Industrial Design with Highest Honors from Pratt Institute in New York and a Master of Arts from Lesley University.
